Our New Headteacher Arrives...

At the end of the summer term we said goodbye to Mrs Williams who left us to become Headteacher at Crossgates school. We wish her well in her new school.

From September 2015, our new Headteacher is Mr Adam Shearman. Mr Shearman is Executive Headteacher of both Llanfihangel Rhydithon and Llanelwedd School. He is looking forward to leading Dolau school into a successful future.

Navity 2013

Nativity 2013

On Friday 13th December (yikes!) we held our Christmas Nativity at The Albert Hall, Llandrindod Wells.

A fantastic time was had by all, as we were wowed by the brilliant performance of a traditional story brought up to date and to our doorstep.

Aladdin in Brecon

Thursday 5th December

Aladdin in Theatr Brycheiniog, starring Owen Money was a big success.

The children had a great time as they were taken through the adventures of Aladdin,

his brother Wishy and their mother Widow Twanky!

We were the first to arrive at the theatre and enjoyed a super indoor picnic!

Children in Need 2013

The children all came into school wearing something spotty and selling cakes.

We raised over £70.00 for Children in Need.  Not bad for such a small school!

Theatre Visit

On Friday the 15th of November we had a tour of The Albert Hall Theatre in Llandrindod Wells.

It gave an interesting insight into the backstage workings of a theatre and gave us a great chance to get on stage!

School Council 2013

School Council Elections

On Friday 8th November 2013 the new School Council were voted in.

The new class representatives are:

Eve, Sophie, Jonathan, Louis, Laura and Iwan.

The new Councils first decision was planning Children in Need activities, titled ‘Wear something Spotty’

New Boats

Award Winning Dolau Young Farmers provide us with new equipment

We love the two new boats that ‘sailed’ into school!
