Our pre-school setting is small and friendly.
It is run by Sue Coleman and Luan Price.
The children enjoy a huge variety of activities including painting, baking,
making, outdoor play, welly walks and the Nature Garden to name just a few!
Older children are also introduced to school for a comfortable progression to school.
At the end of the summer term we said goodbye to Mrs Williams who left us to become Headteacher at Crossgates school. We wish her well in her new school.
From September 2015, our new Headteacher is Mr Adam Shearman. Mr Shearman is Executive Headteacher of both Llanfihangel Rhydithon and Llanelwedd School. He is looking forward to leading Dolau school into a successful future.
On Friday 13th December (yikes!) we held our Christmas Nativity at The Albert Hall, Llandrindod Wells.
A fantastic time was had by all, as we were wowed by the brilliant performance of a traditional story brought up to date and to our doorstep.
Thursday 5th December
Aladdin in Theatr Brycheiniog, starring Owen Money was a big success.
The children had a great time as they were taken through the adventures of Aladdin,
his brother Wishy and their mother Widow Twanky!
We were the first to arrive at the theatre and enjoyed a super indoor picnic!
We have a number of dates for your diaries for our Christmas activities.
The children all came into school wearing something spotty and selling cakes.
We raised over £70.00 for Children in Need. Not bad for such a small school!
On Friday the 15th of November we had a tour of The Albert Hall Theatre in Llandrindod Wells.
It gave an interesting insight into the backstage workings of a theatre and gave us a great chance to get on stage!
